Media Services Students seeking priority consideration for institutional or private scholarships at the University of Arkansas at Monticello for the 2007 fall semester must complete the application process by no later than March 1, according to Mary Whiting, director of admissions. Institutional scholarships are available for current high school seniors as well as current college students attending two-year campuses who are planning to transfer. Institutional scholarships have specific criteria regarding grade point, ACT scores and transfer hours in some instances. Institutional scholarship information and applications are available in high school counseling offices, the UAM Office of Admissions on the first floor of Harris Hall or online at www.uamont.edu/admissions/. Private scholarships are available for both incoming and current UAM students. These awards vary in amount and criteria. Students completing a scholarship application will receive consideration for all possible private scholarships based on the information provided. Applications for current students are available in the Office of Admissions. New students should complete the scholarship application provided in the campus application packet at www.uamont.edu/admissions/.
All
applications for both institutional and private scholarships received by
March 1 will be reviewed, according to Whiting. Applications received
after the March 1 deadline will be kept on file for review, pending
eligibility and availability of funds. Any students receiving an
institutional or private scholarship will receive written notification
from the Office of Admissions. For questions, call (800) 844-1826 or
