UAM to Hold Registration for Spring Semester Jan. 9

   The University of Arkansas at Monticello will hold registration for the spring semester Tuesday, Jan. 9 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., at all three campus locations in Monticello, Crossett and McGehee. 

   Students not currently admitted to the university must complete the admission process by Jan. 2 to participate in registration. The admission process may be completed at the Office of Admissions on the first floor of Harris Hall at UAM. 

   Students registering at the main campus in Monticello should go to their academic advisor to register and make schedule changes. Visiting students (those attending UAM only for spring classes) and non-degree seeking students should go to Harris Hall to register. 

   Students registering for classes at the UAM College of Technology-Crossett should report to the Student Center for advising and registration. Registration and advising at the UAM College of Technology-McGehee will be completed at the Office of Student Services. 

   All first-time freshmen registering for classes at the Monticello campus must attend a mandatory orientation session Monday, Jan. 8. New transfer students are also invited, but not required, to attend. Specific details regarding times and locations for the orientation sessions will be sent by mail. Questions about the orientation sessions should be directed to the Office of Admissions at (800) 844-1826 or (870) 460-1026. 

   First-time freshmen and new transfer students at Crossett and McGehee must attend orientation sessions Monday, Jan. 8 at 1 p.m., in the Student Centers on each campus. For information about the Crossett session, call (870) 364-6414 or (866) 323-3384. For information about the McGehee orientation, call (870) 222-5360 or (800) 747-5360. 

   Night-only and graduate students may register Monday, Jan. 8 from 5 to 7 p.m., at Harris Hall in Monticello, the Student Center at Crossett or the Student Center at McGehee. Night-only and graduate students are encouraged to complete the admission process by Jan. 2 to expedite their registration. Admission materials and information may be obtained in the Office of Admissions in Harris Hall. 

   Students planning to register only for off-campus or distance education classes should contact the Office of Academic Affairs at (870) 460-1032. 

   Late registration will take place Jan. 10 through Jan. 17 at all three campus locations. A $25 late registration fee is required. 

   Students who pre-registered for the spring semester in November must finalize their bills by Jan. 2 or their registration will be canceled. Pre-registered students whose bill shows a zero-balance or less and students receiving scholarships and other forms of financial aid also must validate their registration with the university cashier by Jan. 2.
