Courtesy of Media Services Carmen Pruitt of White Hall will present her senior vocal recital at the University of Arkansas at Monticello on Dec. 4 at 7:30 p.m., in the Harris Recital Hall of the UAM Music Building. The recital is free and open to the public. Pruitt will perform selected works by Caldara, Schuman, Debussy and Sondheim and will be accompanied on the piano by Paul Becker of the UAM music faculty. Pruitt is a student of Beverly Lobitz, a graduate of White Hall High School, and the daughter of Debra Pruitt and the late Robert Pruitt. At UAM, Pruitt has been a member of the concert choir, chamber choir and band, and she has played leading rolls in music theatre performances of "Globolinks," "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum," "Sunday Excursion" and "Man of LaMancha."
