Courtesy of Media Services James and Sue Cathey of Monticello recently presented an accent table and matching lamps to the Division of Music at the University of Arkansas at Monticello to honor their daughters, Lesa Cathey Handly of Little Rock and Traci Cathey Walls of Pine Bluff. The furniture will be placed in the Green Room adjacent to the Harris Recital Hall in the UAM Music Building. The room is being furnished by individuals wishing to make presentations in honor or in memory of family and friends, according to Annette Hall, chair of the Division of Music. "We are pleased to accept this generous gift from the Catheys," Hall said. "This will be a wonderful addition to the Division of Music and a marvelous way to honor their daughters." Lesa Cathey Handly graduated from UAM in 1982 with a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing. She is currently senior vice president for customer strategy with Alltel Corporation and is married to Brooks Handly. As a student at UAM, Handly was a member of the concert choir and served as the choir's piano accompanist. Traci Cathey Walls graduated from UAM in 1996 with a Bachelor of Arts in Music degree. She is a legal assistant with Receivables Management Corporation in Pine Bluff and is married to Michael Walls. Walls was a member of the UAM concert and chamber choirs and performed in the opera workshop and musical productions.
James Cathey was a member of the UAM business faculty from 1968 until
