UAM Faculty Member, Family and Friends Create Endowed Scholarship

Dr. C. Morrell Jones, a long-time member of the faculty at the University of Arkansas at Monticello, has joined with family and friends to make a $30,000 contribution to the UAM Foundation Fund to create an endowed nursing scholarship.

The endowment was presented in memory of the late Virginia M. Ryan Jones, wife of C. Morrell Jones and a member of the first graduating class of the Division of Nursing in 1971 at what was then Arkansas A&M College (now UAM).

Recipients of the Virginia M. Ryan Jones Memorial Nursing Scholarship must be Arkansas residents enrolled in UAM's RN or BSN nursing program. Recipients may receive the scholarship for a maximum of four semesters and will be selected by the Division of Nursing Scholarship Committee.
