The Kansas Board of Education voted 6-4 in favor of policies that lean towards “intelligent design” and cast doubts on the theory of evolution. It should be noted, every member who voted for the standards were Republican. Although, two Republicans voted against the standards. It boggles my mind that this is even being debated in schools. It’s like looking for a scientific reason for voodoo. Iraqis hate lawyers as much as we do. Gunmen have killed two of Saddam Hussein’s defense attorneys in the last month. Oddly enough, the U.S. embassy blames supporters of the former dictator for the crimes. The embassy claims that the pro-Saddam gunmen are trying to disrupt the trial. First, why don’t they just shoot the prosecutors? Second, I bet if Jonnie Cochran were still alive, he could get Saddam off. French Revolution, part deux After weeks of riots in the country, France has imposed a state-of-emergency. The rioting started in French ghetto districts and escalated as the days went by. They have arrested 1,830 people during the chaos in the last 13 days. Meanwhile, gangs continue to battle with police and throw Molotov cocktails. They have deployed 11,500 police so far. So cancel any plans you have to see the Eiffel Tower. Apparently, the only thing they raise in Texas anymore is steers. Texans voted a ban on same-sex marriage into their
constitution. The state’s governor and several churches supported the
amendment. Only 24 percent of voters opposed it. The law limits marriage
