Media Services The School of Education at the University of Arkansas at Monticello will host a teleconference Nov. 10 to promote the importance of quality pre-kindergarten education. The teleconference will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. in Conference Room A of the Taylor Library and Technology Center. The event is designed to provide information for pre-kindergarten providers and advocates on how better to engage community leaders in supporting, expanding the promoting pre-K education in their communities. The interactive teleconference will feature interviews with legislators, business leaders, community activists, and pre-kindergarten providers from Arkansas, California and Illinois who have been successful in promoting quality pre-kindergarten education in their states. A panel of national experts will also discuss ways of engaging leaders, and local participants will have a chance to ask questions and develop their own strategies for promoting pre-K education.
