Media Services The Arkansas Arts Center’s traveling exhibit, "500 Years of Printmaking," will be on display at the University of Arkansas at Monticello Nov. 8-15 in the Spencer Gallery of the Fine Arts Center.
The exhibit traces the history of printmaking over five centuries, beginning with a 15th century German woodblock print and spanning a wide range of imagery and a variety of techniques. The exhibit is sponsored locally by the UAM School of Arts and Humanities and is one of 15 traveling exhibitions available through the Arkansas Arts Center’s State Services Department. A reception and gallery talk will be held on Friday, Nov. 11 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. followed by a performance by the UAM Music Theater Workshop of "Two Barbers," a compilation of two operas, in the Fine Arts Center auditorium.
Gallery hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The exhibit is free and open to the public.
