    BIRMINGHAM, ALA. --- After a week which saw the University of Arkansas at Monticello Cotton Blossoms volleyball team pick up their first two Gulf South Conference wins in program history, outside hitter Amanda Sayre and libero Amie Kronk were rewarded by being named Gulf South Conference-West Division Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week.

    Sayre, a junior from Del City, Okla., led the Blossoms' offensive effort in their 2-0 week against Arkansas Tech and Southern Arkansas, posting 46 kills over seven games for an average of 6.57 kills per game. Sayre also hit .315 for the week, picking up 28 digs, seven blocks, and one service ace.
 

    Kronk, a junior from San Antonio, Texas, earned defensive honors after notching 59 digs in seven games, averaging 8.43 digs per game. Kronk also notched two service aces.
