'American Inventor' Reality Show Coming

   The producers of the popular TV reality show "American Idol" are launching a new primetime reality show entitled "American Inventor." The inventor with the winning idea or product will receive $1 million.

   America’s Small Business Development Center network has been contacted to encourage inventors to apply for auditions that will be held in major cities beginning next month. Producers of the show are looking for contestants with a retail product.

Audition sites are:
Nov. 14 - San Francisco
Nov. 17 - Denver
Dec. 1 - Chicago
Dec. 4 - New York
Dec. 7 - Washington D.C.
Dec. 11 - Atlanta
Dec. 14 - Austin
Dec. 17 - Los Angeles

 All ages are welcome, but those under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Interested contestants should be sure to review the FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions) prior to completing an application at www.AmericanInventor.tv.
