Media Services "Pulp Fiction," an art exhibit by Ted Barnes and Preston Gilchrist, is on display at the University of Arkansas at Monticello until Nov. 17. The exhibit, which is free and open to the public, is located in the main gallery of the Taylor Library and Technology Center. Gallery hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. A closing reception and gallery talk by the artists will be held Nov. 17 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
"The work of Barnes and Gilchrist is inspired in one way or another by American popular culture and popular media," Richard said. Barnes is a professor of art and chair of the Division of Visual and Performing Arts at Louisiana College in Pineville. Gilchrist is the current director of exhibitions at River Oaks Arts Center in Alexandria, La., and an adjunct professor at both Louisiana College and LSU-Alexandria.
