Why not Resources |
Editor-in-Chief The University of Arkansas at Monticello employed Naomi Freeman as Web publisher this fall for the primary purpose of working on the university’s Web site and its many links. "I believe that the work of this person will enhance our Web appearance and make the site more user friendly," Chancellor Jack Lassiter said. "I also believe that the work on the site will enhance the access to The Voice and will allow us to encourage more 'hits' on The Voice." Freeman plans to create a new design for UAM’s homepage and some consistency throughout the rest of the site. She wants the layout to be user friendly and accessible to everyone. "This means, in part, that everything will not be displayed on the homepage, yet sections/categories will be provided to benefit everyone," Freeman said. "For example, having a link for students that will go to another page that will provide information pertaining to students will keep students from having to search for the information they need." Freeman said she wanted to add more life to UAM’s
homepage so that visitors feel more welcomed and can find the information that
will benefit them. "This will by no means happen overnight; time and
cooperation is needed for successful results," she said.
