Contributing Writer UAM College of Technology-McGehee held a very successful blood drive Oct. 5. Students, faculty, staff and the community responded to the American Red Cross' plea for blood to be donated to help alleviate the blood supply shortage. A total of 32 attempts to donate blood were made with 26 pints of blood collected which exceeded the blood drive goal. As a result, a total of 78 lives will be saved (one pint of blood saves three lives). A special thanks to Pizza Inn of McGehee for providing pizza to all donors.
