Staff Writer Phi Beta Sigma Week missed Sigma Apollo. "The Sigma Apollo was cancelled because the paper work was lost, but we reserved the Fine Arts Center two months ago," Sigma Michael Gilbert said. "The Sigma Apollo will be on Oct. 27 whether it is on or off campus." Robin Barker, director of Student Activities, said a misunderstanding caused the cancellation. "The paper work was not complete," she said. "They thought it was, but they were missing one signature by Dr. Clay Brown."
The Sigma's started the week with an inspirational speaker Sunday at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church. The week also featured "Sigma's Against Teenage Pregnancy" Monday, and an All-Greek auction Tuesday. Phi Beta Sigma established Jan. 9, 1914, at Howard University in Washington, D.C. Have a comment?
