Bistro Features Executive Decision

    Back by special request, the popular jazz/pop band Executive Decision will be the featured act at the Main Street Bistro Saturday at 7 p.m., with food served at 6:30 p.m.

   Executive Decision is four current or former music educators who enjoy making music together. Steve Trana, keyboard and vocals, is associate professor of Music Theory, Music Technology, Woodwinds at the University of Arkansas at Monticello. Gary Meggs, saxophone and vocals, is the director of bands at UAM. Frank Ferguson, bass, is the principal at Drew Central High School in Monticello. Chris Bayless, drums, is the director of bands for the Dermott School District in Dermott, Ark., and adjunct instructor of Music at UAM.

   This talented quartet has become a much-sought-after musical act throughout Southeast Arkansas and the Mississippi Delta. With their unique blend of humor, musicianship and a repertoire spanning nearly 100 years of popular music and jazz, Executive Decision will create an unforgettable evening of listening and dancing enjoyment for audiences of all ages.

Main Street Bistro is a project of the First Presbyterian Church, 821 North Main in Monticello. Main Street Bistro was established to provide a smoke-free, alcohol-free, listener-oriented venue featuring quality entertainment for the community. The $8 admission fee includes dinner and the performance. As seating is limited reservations are encouraged. Please call the church office at 367-6883 to make reservations.
