Space Marines ... yes, Space Marines

   The Air Force Research Laboratory is currently working on an upper-stage space travel vehicle. Officials say this technology would allow Marines to travel anywhere globally with two hours. Now they just have to worry about those Aliens from the James Cameron film.

Get out your "Star Wars" Fanfiction: Lucas is a’lookin for ya

   According to IGNfilm.com, "Star Wars" franchise creator George Lucas is looking for writers for a television show based on the universe. I think he would make a killing from the Jar Jar Binks Goodtime Comedy hour.

Gas is high. Poor understanding of economics to blame.

   Gas could be as high as $4 a gallon, according to a spokesman for AAA, and it’s all the consumers fault. "If consumers panic buy, it will reduce the amount of supply, and the demand will increase and prices will go up. We will be our own worst enemy," Stuart Hodes said. It’s supply and demand, people.

Emmys, Emmys Blah Blah Blah

   The Emmys occurred last Sunday; I opted to watch Fox instead. Apparently, people still love Ray Ramano. Also, the ABC series "Lost" won big. Just think, it’s a whole year until people get to give their worthless opinions again.

Read of the Week
"The Prince" by Niccolla Machiavelli. Without a doubt, the best book on politics and power ever written. If you want to get a start in politics or just get a better understanding of the nature of power, this is the book to read. Denounced by some as being amoral and evil, Machiavelli is simply a realist. Read this and you’ll never look at government the same way.
