Inspired by the likes of Go Fug Yourself (gofugyourself.typepad.com), the basic concept here is pretty simple: knitting companies and magazines are hawking all kinds of horrendously ugly patterns. Do they not know that knitting has become hip? Do they not know that those pom poms are just not cool? Do they not know how ridiculous a yellow knit turtleneck jumpsuit looks? (You must see THIS!)

   As the ladies say themselves in their disclaimer: "Look kids, we're ragging on nasty knits here (and occasionally a model's obviously airbrushed 15-inch waist) because we ourselves are knitters, and we know that knitting a garment takes a LOT of time and effort, and it pisses us off that these people think we're going to waste our time on this crap."

THE BEST: "You bastards! You killed Grover! ... Why....why...WHY would you knit something to wear over about ten other things, to end up looking like an extra from Braveheart? In poor Grover's pelt?"

THE WORST: There's no real worst here. I don't even know how to knit - or purl - and I'm rolling.

ULTIMATELY: Whether or not you knit, this is worth checking out.
