Wellness Fair Returns

   The Wellness Fair gives students, faculty and staff the opportunity to find out healthy information.

   The fair provides access to information booths, health screenings and other health opportunities. It operates from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on March 15.

   The activities for the fair include the following:

   • Arkansas State Police Fatal Vision simulation
   • National Guard climbing wall
   • Bone marrow donor registry providing information and sign up for potential donors
   • Vision screening
   • Cholesterol and blood sugar checks provided by Drew Memorial
   • Percent body fat check provided by Jefferson Regional Medical Center
   • Blood pressure readings by Monticello Ambulance Service

   Julie Gentry, the Wellness Committee chair person, was asked about the number of people who come to the fair.

   "Normally, there are quite a few students, few faculty and staff, who come to the fair," Gentry said, "Students and staff participate more than faculty."

   Last year's fair drew more than 400 people. People from the state of Arkansas and even out of state have booths or activities.
