HOOVER, Ala. --- University of Arkansas at Monticello punter/quarterback Anthony Rodriguez has been named Gulf South Conference Special Teams Player of the Week after the Weevil's home loss to North Alabama.

Rodriguez is the first UAM player to earn GSC laurels this season, after leading the Weevils’ special teams in this week’s 42-0 loss. The junior double-threat athlete booted the ball eleven times for 484 yards, setting a new UAM record for punting yardage in a game; averaging 44.0 yards per punt and a long punt of 60 yards.

Rodriguez was able to pin the Lions inside their 20-yard line with three of his punts.
