Weevils Climb to Fourth in Region

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. --- The University of Arkansas at Monticello Boll Weevils basketball team has climbed to fourth in the most recent NCAA Division II South Region poll released Feb. 22.

   The Weevils had fallen to fifth place last week.

   The regional rankings will be released weekly on Wednesdays through March 1. [NOTE: The records listed below consist of Division II games only.]

   The following top 10 teams in the region, with records through Sunday, Feb. 19, were included in this week’s regional rankings:

   1. Delta State (18-1 D-II, 16-1 Region)
   2. Montevallo (21-3 D-II, 14-3 Region)
   3. Alabama-Huntsville (18-5 D-II, 12-4 Region)
   4. Arkansas-Monticello (12-4 D-II, 11-4 Region)
   5. Benedict (18-4 D-II, 18-2 Region)
   6. West Georgia (16-8 D-II, 14-7 Region)
   7. North Alabama (16-9 D-II, 15-9 Region)
   8. Rollins (15-5 D-II, 14-4 Region)
   9. Nova Southeastern (16-8 D-II, 15-6 Region)
  10. Lynn (19-7 D-II, 17-6 Region)
