The beauties stay on track, but the beasts drop one late in the
week.
This changed as the second half started with the Cotton Blossoms
getting out to an early three-point lead and never looking back, getting ahead
of the Sugar Bears at one point by 10 points. Once again, Young was on fire as
she scored an amazing 14 points from the field, and was 3-of-5 at the free-throw
line. The final buzzer sounded the Blossoms victory, 71-66.
In the second half, Wilson cooled off, but Billy McDaniel heated up
real quick, scoring 13 points in the second half. This carried the Boll Weevils
to another victory, 69-60.
This weekend is the last home game against the
Ouachita Baptist University Tigers. The women start at 2 p.m. Saturday, and the
men start 4 p.m. We would like to encourage everyone to come out and have a
great time at the ballgame. Have a comment? Please e-mail us. © The Voice 2006 Revised 09/17/2007 02:07:55 PM — http://www.uamont.edu/Organizations/TheVoice/3_17/4th.htm |
