"The reason Dave Chappelle went crazy"
Something rotten in Denmark
A Denmark newspaper outraged Muslims and much of the world
after printing several cartoons depicting the prophet Muhammad as a terrorist.
The cartoons were obviously in poor taste and a product of religious
intolerance. Still, cartoons are not a reason to riot or call for the death of
those responsible. Also, protestors burnt American flags. The last time I
checked, we didn't have anything to do with Denmark.
Spears endangers baby
After a photo appeared with Britney Spears driving with her
baby in her lap, the media unleashed a firestorm on the blond pop star. Spears
blamed her fear of paparazzi for her appalling lack of parenting skills. This
lends credence to my stance that celebrities should not breed. Any of them.
Political conflict mars King funeral
Some speakers, namely former Pres. Jimmy Carter and Rev. Joseph
Lowery, used the funeral of Coretta Scott King to verbally attack President
Bush, who was in attendance. Carter and Lowery mentioned Iraq and the current
wiretapping policy of the President. There's a time for politics; it's not at a
funeral. Carter and Lowery should be ashamed.
Apple lowers iPod prices
People holding off buying an iPod because of the high price may be
one step closer to owning the coveted MP3 players. Apple debuted the
1GB iPod nano for just $149. Soon everyone in the world will own
one, which will make the quality of podcasts go straight to hell.
Web site of the Week
http://www.gbs.tv
A user controlled streaming video television station. GBStv is full of public
domain videos, music and general wackiness. Users can register and queue videos
to play. This is the reason Al Gore invented the Internet. Log on and let the
insanity begin.
