Super Bowl extra large!
That may be the way it looks, but things aren't always what they
seem. This could very well be the Super Bowl that will be considered
larger than all others.
I am sure many expected the Indianapolis Colts, Denver Broncos or
even the Carolina Panthers to be one of the featured teams in this XL
Super Bowl.
On Sunday, Feb. 5th, which has already been classified as a
national holiday in America, two teams will battle for the title name,
National Football League Champions. Of the Pittsburgh Steelers and the
Seattle Seahawks, the two will go into Detroit but only one will come
out on top.
Since 1967 the Super Bowl has made just as many fans happy as it
has made sad. The underdogs of the previous 39 have never been as tough
as this team from Pennsylvania.
The Steelers, a No. 6 seed in the playoffs, play against a No. 1
seed for the second time this postseason. They began their journey at
No. 3 seed Cincinnati where they prevailed 31 - 17. Next stop was at the
house of No. 1 seed Dungy, Manning and the Indianapolis Colts, where
they nearly gave the game away but ended up winning 21 - 18. And then
their latest victory came from the hands of Jake Plummer, Rod Smith and
the Denver Broncos, who were the No. 2 seed.
Now they have their final test against No. 1 seed Seattle, which
likes the fact that all the attention is on the Steelers. It's less
pressure for the Seahawks to worry about. Never has a team beat both No.
1 seeds, a No. 2 and No. 3 seeded team in the playoffs before.

There's not really a lot to say about the Seahawks other
than that they have MVP Shaun Alexander. That and they are possibly
considered the first No. 1 seed to be an underdog to a No. 6 seed team.
Sunday after 5 p.m. the world will know who the true underdog will be
and who will continue to sit on the porch!
