Staff Writer The Student Activities Board held a meeting Jan. 26 to discuss plans for the upcoming "Spring Fling" that is tentatively scheduled for April 17-20. The last day will conclude with a Luau from 2-7 p.m. at the Gibson University Center parking lot. Activities for this day will include a mechanical bull, trampoline, air brush tattoos, bungee run and laser tag free for all current University of Arkansas-Monticello students. UAM will celebrate Black History Month Feb. 13-17 in the U.C. Green Room. Activities will be announced at a later date. Cheerleading try-out clinics have been scheduled for April 6-7 from 6-9 p.m. at Steelman Field House. The try-out will be held April 8 starting at 8 a.m. in Steelmam Field House. Applications, due no later than March 31, will be available on the UAM homepage or can be picked up at the Student Affairs office. Applicants must meet UAM grade point requirements to be eligible.
