Weevils Remain Fourth in Region

INDIANAPOLIS, IN --- The University of Arkansas at Monticello Boll Weevils remain fourth in this week’s NCAA Division II South Region Poll released by the NCAA Division II Men’s Basketball Committee.

   The poll reflects games played through Sunday, Jan. 22, so Monday’s one-point loss to Central Arkansas is not factored into this week’s poll. The Boll Weevils are the only Arkansas team ranked in this week’s poll, and are again the third-ranked Gulf South Conference squad behind No. 1 Montevallo and No. 3 Delta State.

   The NCAA Division II Regional Poll will be released every Wednesday through the end of the season.

1. Montevallo – 16-1 Division II, 9-1 South Region
2. Nova Southeastern – 11-3 Division II, 10-1 South Region
3. Delta State – 10-1 Division II, 8-1 South Region
4. Arkansas-Monticello – 6-2 Division II, 5-2 South Region
5. Alabama-Huntsville – 13-2 Division II, 7-2 South Region

6. Lynn – 14-3 Division II, 12-2 South Region
7. North Alabama – 12-6 Division II, 11-6 South Region
8. Benedict – 10-3 Division II, 10-1 South Region
9. West Georgia – 11-5 Division II, 9-4 South Region
