Editor-in-Chief Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee recently appointed Reginald Glover to the University of Arkansas at Monticello Board of Visitors, bringing the total board membership to 12. Glover will fill the new at-large position. Drew County Judge Damon Lampkin swore Glover in to his new position earlier this month, and Chancellor Jack Lassiter formally introduced Glover to the Board during its Jan. 12 meeting at the College of Technology at McGehee campus. "The at-large position that Reginald was appointed to is a new position for our Board that was created in legislation presented in the last legislative session," Lassiter said. "This legislation was sponsored by our legislative delegation." Glover, a director at Commercial Bank and Trust Company of Monticello, graduated from both UAM and Arkansas A&M. He received the UAM Alumni Award for Achievement and Merit in 1987. He currently serves as an officer of the Boll Weevil Sports Association, an organization he helped establish. Glover said he had
experienced a long association with the university and wanted to
continue to keep up with what was going on.
