Media Services May 2005 graduates of the University of Arkansas at Monticello's bachelor of science in nursing degree program achieved a 100 percent passing rate on the national licensing exam for registered nurses, according to Larry Eustace, chair of the division of Nursing. All 25 BSN graduates successfully completed the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses. The 100 percent passage rate is above both state and national averages, according to Eustace. "I am extremely proud of our graduates for what they have accomplished," Eustace said. "It speaks volumes for their dedication and hard work as students and is a tribute to our faculty who prepared them for success and to the overall quality of the BSN program." The Arkansas State Board of Nursing notified Eustace of the 100 percent passage rate. Chancellor Jack Lassiter called the results gratifying for nursing program and the university.
