"A Proud Contributor to the Leftist Media Conspiracy"

Feeling a little buggy?

Former Vice President Al Gore is claiming President Bush broke the law after ordering wiretaps on certain individuals, without court approval. Bush's camp claims that the President acted lawfully in order to protect the United States. Personally, I think I'd rather live in a society where I was free rather than safe. Just to keep it fair and balanced, I will concede the fact that Al Gore is a bigger media whore than Paris Hilton. At best he will be remembered as a mediocre Vice President overshadowed by Clinton, at worst he's going to be remembered as a sore loser that bitched for Bush's entire presidency.

Iran to investigate ... the Holocaust?

As if the whole nuclear scandal wasn't enough, Iran has decided to sponsor an in depth scientific look at the Holocaust. President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has already stated that genocide of roughly 6 million Jews is a myth. The program is part of Iran's ongoing hostility towards Israel. Ahmadinejad should check out the History Channel sometime, or any of the other hundreds of sources we have documenting WW II.

Broke Back Mountain wins big

The film about two cowboys finding romance in the wild west won four Golden Globes. For those not in the know, the cowboys find romance … with each other. Buzzworthy Fact: In the animated series South Park, Eric Cartmen once described independent films as "black and white hippie films, with gay cowboys eating pudding." Ladies and Gentlemen, Trey Parker is the new Nostradamus.

Journalist kidnapped; militants threaten life

Jill Carroll, a 28-year-old freelance writer on assignment for the Christian Science Monitor, appeared on a video shown on Al-Jazeera. Her family and friends said her articles have always been kind to the Iraqi people and she continuously covered the truth in the area. This only shows what kind of fundamentalist bastards still exist in Iraq. The kidnappers are cowards, plain and simple.

Read of the Week
"1984" by George Orwell

A tale of political oppression and an all-controlling state, "1984" is more important now than ever. The cautionary novel is one of Orwell's best works and shows just how easily an entire country of people can be misled. His character of Big Brother has several modern day analogues, (and I'm not even talking about G-Dub).
