UAM Enjoys Win

   The UAM Weevils men’s basketball team spent their Thanksgiving holiday in sunny Florida.

   The Weevils played Florida Gulf Coast University Saturday, Nov. 26. The Weevils beat the high-ranking team in a 73-50 victory.

   Team player J.B. Williams was very proud of the win.

   "We blew them out, the game was very fair, and what else can I say, but we won!" he said.

   The game took place in Fort Myers, Fla., and had a crowd of about 2,000 roaring fans. The game resulted in no injuries for UAM or FGCU.

   Mike Newell, coach of men’s basketball, exuded happiness about the victory also.

"The trip was really good, and so was the game," he said."This win will help us in our regional standing."

This season, the Weevils have won two games, and lost only one.
