Nov. 1

  • Made a few traffic stops
  • A maroon pickup blocked the gat at the Recycling plan. It was a non student. Vehicle was towed
  • Traffic stop on student for excessive speed.

Nov. 2

  • Out to talk with a bus driver involved in an accident the previous day
  • Traffic stop for speeding

Nov. 3

  • Made two traffic stops
  • Custodial  person reported a Freon tank leaking in maintenance
  • Out at Gibson University Center to boot vehicle for outstanding parking citations.

Nov. 4

  • Issued parking citations
  • Placed boot on vehicle showing expired LPN. Returned to the booted vehicle to remove the boot. The individual had just purchased the truck and neglected to remove the old tags.
  • Subject of arrest warrant turned himself in at Public Safety. He was transported to the CDF and booked.
  • Reports of some former football players that smelled of alcohol were yelling lewd remarks to the opposing volleyball team
  • Horsfall resident requested an unlock of her car

Nov. 5

  • Received a call from the student arrested the previous day for theft of property requesting copies of his paperwork
  • RA at Horsfall reported the fire alarm panel was making noise
  • A group of male students were making noise in front of Bankston Hall. They were asked to keep it down.

Nov. 6

  • Boosted a car off at Bankston Hall
  • Some cows bellowing the east field

Nov. 7

  • Talked with some students at that gym that caused a problem last week
  • Report of a possible fight at the U.C. No contact with any subjects fighting

Nov. 8

  • Noted the big light on the pole directly behind the Science Center was out. The parking area was dark.
  • Girl reported that people were making faces at her. She was informed that nothing could be done.

Nov. 9

  • Made three traffic stops
  • Report of student injuring their knee at at play rehearsal
  • Traffic stop for no stop at stop sign
  • Call from custodial needing a boost at post office.
  • Stopped at Crackerbox to assist with a pair of UAM students detained by MPD and ASP. Students were released
  • Observed an older gentleman at the Rodeo arena, at a distance, with no shirt on and drinking something. Made contact and found him to be the Horse groomer shoeing horses.

Nov. 10

  • Call from student to unlock his girlfriend's car. He had to call his girlfriend so she could be there before it could be done.
  • Located red truck with a number of outstanding citations. Strated to booth the vehicle when the owner arrived.
  • A lady broke down in the turning lane on 425 and all MPD Units were available.
  • Call from a UAM student who lost his wallet either in the parking lot or gym.

Nov. 11

  • Call from a subject that was left a message earlier about a summons that needed to be served on him. He said he would get it this weekend.
  • While on patrol, I heard some students on the 2nd floor at Maxwell yelling and laughing from the road north of the university apartments. I turned around and went back to check some ID's. When the group saw me, they disappeared.

Nov. 12

  • A complain of loud noise coming from the third floor "A" section of the University Apartments. Upon my arrival, I made contact with six subjects and asked that they keep the noise down. No further complaints.

Nov. 13

  • Out at 81 with three subjects in a civil issue about a car. Two were students and one was not.
  • Fire alarm went off at the University Apartments, but there was no fire and no one had been cooking.
  • Noted again that the large power pole behind the center has a burned out street light. It is extremely dark behind the Science Center as a result.
  • A complaint of a red doge pickup that ran a stop sign and almost hit some pedestrians.
  • False report of a fire at Bankston Hall.

Nov. 14

  • Call from student that had lost front whell on her car in front of Married housing
  • Call from student at Wesley, reporting that four suspicious boys were walking down the road towards the UC with a video camera.
  • MPD Dispatch reported a 4 car accident on UNiversity Dr just east of the Drew Central Campus.
  • Boost in the BCM parking lot
  • Student was walking at night with a flashlight looking for his lost wallet.

Nov. 15

  • Report of the MCB's exterior door malfunctioning
  • Confiscated five cans of Coors Light beer from a UAM student. Citations written for alcohol on campus and minor in possession of alcohol.

Nov. 16

  • A call from a worker who couldn't get the the door at the writing center to lock

Nov. 17

  • Traffic stop for no stop at a stop sign.

Nov. 19

  • Out at Maxwell hall with three male students for being loud.
  • Traffic stop with non UAM student for no stop at stop sign on Scogin and University

Nov. 20

  • Call from Monticello PD about loud music around married housing.
  • A faculty stopped by to inform that in the back of the old intramural field behind the Red barn, someone had back their vehicle into a hidden spot behind some woods near the apartments at Bowser and Babin Dr. Subject said he planned to camp back there.

Nov. 21

  • Student involved in domestic battery case up town was found coming onto campus. Student was placed under arrest. He was advised to move his vehicle before leaving with the PD. He advised that he parked in front of  the gate at the grounds all the time and refused to move. The vehicle was towed.

Nov. 22

  • Made three traffic stops
  • Custodial reported that the breaker was thrown in the lobby
  • Noted that the burnt out light from the lighting chart have not been replaced. It is very dark at the intersection near the Public Safety Office.
  • The parent of a student who had his vehicle towed last night from the recycle area came into the public safety office to complain about the decision to two and find out who the vehicle was towed by and location.
  • A complaint of parking around the loading dock at the art complex, was able to make contact with the driver and asked him not to park there.

  • Heard what sounded like a gun shot at loop that is used for hiking.

Nov. 28

  • Boosted a student's car at the bookstore.
  • A call about a welfare check on a student.
  • Noted two stripped down computers on the third deck of the BBC
  • A report of the stoplight at Old Warren Road and 425 wasn't working

Nov. 29

  • A report of a fire alarm at the "B" section of the university apartments. Resident had sprayed air freshener in the room.
  • Traffic stop with student for no stop at stop sign.
  • Fire alarm system went off at the university apartments. Subject was cooking bacon.
  • Fire alarm was malfunction at university apartments

Nov. 30

  • Boosted off a truck at faculty housing
  • Was called by MPD to assist with an out of control subject at the game
