Faculty, Chamber Singers Perform

    University of Arkansas at Monticello faculty members Stephen Trana and Paul Becker joined the South Arkansas Chamber Singers for an evening of classical and contemporary music Nov. 21 at 7:30 p.m. in the Harris Recital Hall of the UAM Music Building.

   Trana, on clarinet, and Becker, on piano, performed "Concerto for Clarinet and String Orchestra, Opus 31" by Gerald Finzi, "Four Pastorales" by Cecil Effinger, "Sonata for Clarinet and Piano, Opus 129" by Charles Villiers Standford and "Three Preludes" by George Gershwin.

   Kent Skinner, director of choral activities at UAM, conducted the performance.
