God has blessed my life in so many ways. He has given me an incredible family, loved ones and friends who love me unconditionally and support me in all that I do. I am so thankful to have those people around me to give me strength. I am also thankful for holidays like Thanksgiving when we are able to spend time together and forget about daily worries. During the holidays the joy that can be found in those who care about you is immense and I'm very glad to have those people to share it with. I'm also thankful for all the challenges and obstacles that are put before me every day. Times like Thanksgiving can make you realize how lucky you truly are and how life is never as bad as it may seem. I believe God never gives you more than you can handle and without the bad you would never be able to find the good in people or in life.
Katy Murray Todd Kelley I'm thankful for the health and happiness of my family and friends, that I have a warm place to sleep at night, that I finally have a microwave, that at least some people read my Buzzworthy even if they are just my friends, that the River is still open, that Lucas is making a "Star Wars" TV show, that since the 360 is out XBox games will be a lot cheaper, that Colorado legalized possession of small amounts of marijuana, that Tool is recording a new album, that I have an apartment with my girlfriend, that school is very close to being over, that I graduate in May and finally I'm thankful that we only have a few more issues of The Voice to print.
Bradly Gill Sometimes I think that people forget about how lucky they really are and how good they really have it. When I step back and look at my own life and think of all the things I am thankful for, I realize that I also have a lot to feel good about. First and foremost, I am thankful for my health. Just being here is a gift in itself. I am also thankful for my parents, because they have always been there for me. My friends are also a wonderful part of my life that I am thankful for. I am thankful for God and all that has he has given me over the years; especially inspiration and the "will" to go after my goals. I have a college degree that I feel very thankful for. I love basketball and I am thankful that God blessed me with athletic ability so that I could pursue a hobby such as playing sports. And last, but not least, I am thankful for my two pit bulls, Blossom and Weevil. They have been such a joy for me and I love them very much.
Will Collins I am thankful for my mother more than anything else because she has gone through so many personal hardships and come out on top of it all just because she wanted better for me as I was growing up. I am also thankful for the friends I have online who are always willing to talk to me if I need advice or opinions even though they're all far away, including two in Canada, one in Mexico and one in Singapore. Stephanie Watson When I ask myself what I should be thankful for I keep coming back to the question, who should I be thanking? For a very long time I have lived strictly by my own wits, cunning and determination. Nothing I have was "given" to me. I have no family support for college or anything else. Virtually every dime of anything I make comes from my efforts. So in the question of what I am thankful for, I suppose I am thankful that I long ago learned how to survive. Granted, this trait may well account for my abrasive disposition at times, but again, I feel little for the quaint normalicies that most people ascribe. In all I suppose if I must be thankful for anything, it would be my own originality, ingenuity and tenacity.
Lee Hassler Thankful? I am thankful for everything, especially my family. My family is my backbone. If it was not for my family I would not know where I would be. By them believing in me it makes me work harder for what I am trying to achieve. So, that's what I am most thankful for.
Demetrius McDonald The thing I am most thankful for is my family. I have a mom and a younger brother and sister. They support me in everything that I do, and I'm very appreciative of that. I am thankful for my two best friends, Renda and Hope. They're always there for me when I need them. Another thing I am thankful for is the fact that I'm going to college. A lot of people don't get the opportunity to go to college, so I'm very thankful that I've gotten that chance.
Danielle Thomas I am thankful for my family, health and the opportunity to further my education.
Chance Simpson I am thankful for my grandma getting better.
Blake Anglin This holiday season I'm thankful for my family and friends. I'm thankful for them because they have supported me when times were rough and their support and encouragement has given me confidence to become a better person. Sheena Garrard I'm thankful for the food. I am a poor college student that lives off the $900 salads in the cafeteria. I like food and I am glad that I get to go home and eat the mountains of food that my mom makes. Granted, she only cooks that much food when my sister comes home and I would bet money that we would eat out somewhere if it was just me at home for Thanksgiving. So I am thankful that my sister is coming home so that my mom will cook a lot of food for me to eat.
Kaitlyn Woods I have a lot to be thankful for. I am thankful for my being in good health. That is the utmost importance at this point. I am also very thankful for my family. I am thankful for where I am at this point in my life. I feel for my age, I am at a good stage, being in my last year of college! Throughout my life, I've been blessed a tremendous amount, and I am very thankful for that. Eric Gaston I am thankful for so many things. I just do not know where to start. Here goes.. I am thankful for my family. I am thankful for my "big" healthy baby. I am thankful for my health and strength. I am thankful that I am on my way to a promising career. I am also thankful that I can be thankful!
Theressa Lee I am thankful for being alive. I am also thankful for my family and friends. I love everything that God has created, and I am thankful for the strength that I God has given me to stay strong in the midst of it all. Tamara Lattimore Once again, I asked the staff to tell us what they're thankful for this Thanksgiving season. Each year brings a new set of challenges, expectations and surprises. I'm thankful this season that God took my grandmother, relieving her suffering from Alzheimer's. I'm thankful for my family, given and chosen, scattered around the world. I thank God for those who defend liberty and freedom, realizing that both come from self-determination. Last but not least, I'd like to thank you, the reader, for keeping up with The Voice and helping us cover the campus. I wish you the best over the holiday season.
