Media Services Sue Martin of Warren has been selected to serve as coordinator of the teacher education program at the University of Arkansas at Monticello, according to Peggy Doss, dean of the School of Education. Martin holds a bachelor of science in education degree from the University of Arkansas, a master of education degree from UAM, and a doctorate in educational administration from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. As a member of the UAM faculty, Martin will carry the academic rank of assistant professor. “We are extremely pleased to have someone with Sue Martin’s experience and background join our teacher preparation program,” Doss said. “She has extensive experience as a classroom teacher, which will be an invaluable asset and resource for our education students.” Martin was an elementary school principal in the Pulaski County Special School District in Little Rock for the past 10 years. Her prior educational experience includes two years as an elementary school principal in Cotton Plant and 16 years as a first-grade teacher in the Warren School District. She also worked for the Bradley County Library in Warren and spent one year as a first-grade teacher in Grand Prairie, Texas.
