Wallyball ends fall intramurals

University of Arkansas at Monticello intramurals hosts Wallyball tournaments this fall

Wallyball plays similar to volleyball, but it uses a racquetball court. The only Wallyball boundaries include the opponent’s wall behind their back and the ceiling.

“The game is fast paced and the balls go fast,” intramurals coordinator Julie Gentry said. “Someone could get hurt if it bounced off the ceiling.”

UAM faculty, students and staff can make teams with a minimum of three and a maximum of eight players. Only two former collegiate volleyball players allowed per team and only one collegiate player on the court at a time.

Women’s tournaments begin Nov.22, men’s tournaments begin Nov. 29 and Corec tournaments begin Dec. 6. All tournaments begin at 6 p.m. and continue until the completion of all the evening’s tournaments.

Those interested in practicing can check out the Wallyball equipment and head to the racquetball courts anytime they are open.

To sign up for Wallyball tournaments, pick up an entry form at the UAM’s Intramural Office or go online at:
http://www.uamont.edu/Student Affairs/Intramurals
. Turn in entries by 1:30 p.m. on tournament dates.
