to the Field House that was apparently blind; contacted Game and Fish; told
biologist would call when available

apparently got its eyes washed out in the rain and was making its way around the
pond, eating
- Stopped by MCB to serve papers, but individual not in class;
called individual to advise we had papers to serve
- Unit #33 not working; a very unreliable patrol car; time for a new one

- Observed vehicle parked in Jeter Hall South parking with beer in the
back and a .22 caliber pistol sitting on the front seat; driver turned out to be
non-student; initially impounded the weapon until owner located; owner advised
that under NO CIRCUMSTANCES should a weapon be introduced to the campus; weapon
returned upon his departure from the campus

- Assisted Monticello PD by unlocking a vehicle blocking departure of a
hearse involved in a funeral at the Davis Funeral Home

transmission not shifting properly and had odor of overheated clutches

Received call re: wasps in the House Room; Alpha Sigma Tau sponsors requested
help dealing with the wasps without using sprays due to food in the room; upon
arrival, three red wasps flying around the room; killed wasps
- Looked for a
vehicle possibly on campus; the father of a student reported the unauthorized
use of the vehicle to McGehee police who in turn reported it to campus police;
vehicle found in Royer North parking lot; father contacted and came to campus to
retrieve vehicle; he did not wish to file charges
- Second complaint from
Alpha Sigma Taus re: wasps; killed more wasps; wasps apparently entering room
from a small nest above the light fixture near the door to the Green Room

- Call from resident at Married housing re: a lot
of noise that woke him; upon arrival, found two cars in front with engines
running; one car had three people inside and one had two people inside; female
standing outside her apartment; cars left and she went inside without further
incident

yesterday; checked vehicle and everything ok
- Contacted by student, who was stowing his rifle and bow at Public
Safety, to retrieve his weapons; informed him that he needed to find someplace
off-campus to keep his weapons, as we will no longer provide that service due to
lack of proper facilities

Nov. 9
- Upset student at Campus Safety complaining that someone told him Campus
Safety had searched inside his car for 30 minutes, then left a citation in the
front seat of the vehicle for failure to pay registration, no insurance and an
expired decal. Student provided description of vehicle that told him, which
happened to be pulling out from Bankston; subject stopped, but denied saying
anything; assured student that unless we had consent or probable cause to search
his vehicle we would not do so; student apologized for his conduct and went on
his way

room; student contacted; did not smell or see any smoke

- Call from parent concerned about son who has not
been heard from since Nov. 2; filed missing persons report with Monticello PD

- When driving by Bankston Hall,
heard a loud bang and saw smoke coming from west trash bin; looked inside bin
and found 20 oz. Coke bottle melted with some foam around it on the ground;
looks like some kind of chemical explosion; saw no one outside; parked by Public
Safety Office to watch; another bang in the same place; inspected but saw
nothing; conducted walk through dorm and found nothing; while inside, heard two
more bangs but saw nothing; upon returning outside, found two more melted
bottles for a total of four; plan to check exit door tapes for possible charges
