Weevil Idol draws nearly 80

The Winner -- Micah and Peter Granderson set up equipment to show their film. According to Horsfall Hall RA Janson Power, their humorous parody of the "Matrix: Unloaded" featured Micah Granderson, Peter Granderson, Ester Granderson, Reyhan Rzayeva and Amanda Haught.

  Horsfall Hall hosted Weevil Idol Feb. 28 in the Patio Café. Twelve contestants displayed talents ranging from singing to playing the piano to movie-making.

   Nearly 80 people showed up to support their favorite contestant. The Residence Hall Association presidents from each hall judged the contest and included Caswanna Allen of Royer Hall, Jennifer Scott of Horsfall Hall and Kevias Randel of Bankston Hall. Demetris McDonald served as Master of Ceremonies for the event.

   Weevil Idol winners were:

1st place - The Granderson's Film

2nd place - Jennifer Cobb

3rd place - Greg Prewett
