Greek Council has planned Greek Week 2005 for the week of March 21. During Greek Week, Greek organizations on the University of Arkansas- Monticello campus compete against each other in activities for the overall winner.

“We want the non-Greeks, which is the majority of the campus to see how much fun being a Greek is,” Student Activities director Ashley Corbin said.

   Activities for Greek Week 2005:

The volleyball courts hold the Tug of War Competition March 21 at 12:30 p.m.

Fraternities play each other in a basketball tournament in the gym March 22 at 12:30 p.m. while the sororities compete against each other a volleyball tournament at the volleyball courts.

Greek Flag Football takes place on the football field March 23 at 6 p.m.

The Fine Arts Center Auditorium the location for Songfest, a competition between the sororities, and a Step Show, a competition between the fraternities, March 24 at 12:30 p.m.

        The Greek-only banquet, semi-formal dress, takes place March 25 at 6 p.m.

The Greeks plan to have their names all over campus for Greek Week, so the non-Greek students understand the fun of Greek Life.
