Buffalo National River : This 135 mile stretch of the 150 mile free-flowing Buffalo River is located in north-central Arkansas and was the country's first designated national river. The river has carved its path from large limestone bluffs and flows through three wilderness areas included in the national river boundaries. Thus scenery and wildlife abound at every turn of the river. Click here for current river levels and suggested floating levels.
Ouachita Society of American Foresters : SAF has 32 state (or multi-state) societies. Our home state of Arkansas and Oklahoma compose the Ouachita Multi-State Society.
Spatial Analysis Laboratory : Involved in research and development in the areas of Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Global Positioning Systems (GPS), Remote Sensing, and Expert Systems. This state of the art facility is part of our School of Forest Resources and in the home of the Natural State Digital Database serving the GIS user community and the state of Arkansas

American Tree Farm System : The American Forest Foundation program committed to sustaining forests, watersheds, and healthy habitats through private stewardship
Bureau of Land Management : Sustaining the health, diversity and productivity of the public lands for the use and enjoyment of present and future generations
Environmental Quality Improvement Program (EQIP) : This National Resources Conservation Service voluntary conservation and environmental quality incentives program offers financial and technical help to rural landowners when installing and/or implementing structural and management practices
Forest Inventory and Analysis : The nation's forest inventory including database query capabilities for retrieving forest information. Six of our alumni are involved in Arkansas data collection for this valuable program.
