Bowling for National Student Athlete Day
Student Athletes attend free Bowling for National Student
Athlete Day on May 5th 2009. Children from
the Baptist home were invited to come and join our Student
Athletes for a night of fun free bowling.

The UAM
Student Athlete Advisory Committee, made up of student
representative’s from every athletic team, along with other
S.A.A.C.’s from the Gulf South Conference are raising money
for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The UAM SAAC recently
sponsored an “Orange Crush Gram” sale for Valentine’s
Day. Bottles of Orange Crush soda were sold and sent to
“crushes” around campus. Each campus in the GSC is striving
to reach a goal of $500 to donate towards Make-A-Wish. |

UAM student-athletes
came out in full force despite the rain to participate
in the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life event.
Approximately 80 student-athletes wore their athletic
shirts and walked in the opening ceremony. The football
team had a very long night----student-athletes and
coaches signed up to participate and they walked from
7pm until 7am.
