The UAM College of
Technology-McGehee Early Childhood Development Center opened April
1999. Children of McGehee High School students are given
first priority consideration for enrollment. Secondary
consideration for enrollment will be given in the following order
for the children of : UAM College of Technology-McGehee full time
or part time student, McGehee High School faculty, UAM College of
Technology-McGehee faculty, and McGehee residents.
UAM College of Technology-McGehee Early Childhood
Development Center is licensed and Quality Approved that serve
children between 6 weeks to 5 years of age. The
Preschool classroom is an Arkansas Better Chance Program providing
a free preschool education for 3,4 and 5 year olds. The
Center is open Monday thru Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Fees for child care are charged on
a daily or weekly basis. Prompt payment of all charges are
necessary to assure the continuation of UAM College of
Technology-McGehee Early Childhood Development Center's services.
Complete documentation for program voucher and/or government
funding for fees must be presented and approved by the Director
before the child can be accepted for child care services.

The UAM College of
Technology-McGehee Early Childhood Development Center is also used
as a pre-employment training center for UAM College of
Technology-McGehee Early Childhood Education students.
