The primary purpose of the
Office of Finance and
Administration is to serve the University. The various offices of
Finance and Administration strive to serve in a manner which
facilitates the successful achievement of the University's mission
which states in part "...to search for truth and understanding through
scholastic endeavor, ...to enhance and share knowledge, to preserve and promote the intellectual content of society, and to
educate people for critical thought."
The Office of Finance and Administration endeavors to
manage the human, physical, and fiscal resources of the University in such a way that the citizens of the State of Arkansas, members of
the Board of Trustees, System, and Upper University administration, faculty, staff, and students are served in an optimal
fashion. This is to be accomplished in order that complete trust in the fiscal
accountability and integrity of all Finance and Administration processes is maintained.
The Office of Finance and Administration fulfills its mission
by:
• Striving to conduct all processes and inter-personal interactions in a
way that
develops support for the values, programs, and services
of the University.
• Development of processes that ensure the most effective and
efficient use of
resources.
• Providing quality working, learning, and living conditions for
faculty, staff,
and students.
• Ensuring that required and useful information is easily accessible
and
understandable to the appropriate individuals.
• Ensuring that facilities are appropriate, aesthetically pleasing,
comfortable,
energy efficient, conductive to productivity, and
enhance the learning and
working environment.
