                                DUTIES:

Teaching classes in composition, world literature, and American literature; advising students--general studies and English majors.

                                RESEARCH INTEREST:

American literature before 1900 with special emphasis on fiction; gothic literature; religion and literature; science and literature; film and fiction; fictional theory; bibliography.

Hobbies and Hopes

I adore cats, especially Me-ow and Priscilla.
I enjoy music-and I hope to take piano lessons again
I am in the process of restoring and renovating the Stewart Farm in Mississippi.
