Brian Ramsey was appointed UAM's Sports Information Director in December of 2007 after four years of experience in the field at Arkansas Tech University as an undergraduate and Henderson State University as a graduate assistant.

His job responsibilities include media relations for all of UAM's 10 sports at the NCAA Division II level.

Ramsey is also in charge of coordinating statstics and records, athletics publications and promotional materials, as well as being the chief webmaster of uamsports.com.

Ramsey came to UAM after serving four months as a graduate assistant at neighboring GSC institution Henderson State University. There, he was the primary contact for volleyball and women's basketball, as well as secondary contact for the rest of Henderson State's athletic teams.

Prior to HSU, Ramsey spent just over three years of his undergraduate career at Arkansas Tech University as a student assistant in the sports information office, where he served as a statistician for baseball, softball and volleyball. He also wrote press releases for men's basketball, baseball and softball.

Also at Tech, Ramsey hosted a weekly radio show entitiled "Tech Sports Unscripted" while also being a staff sports writer for the campus newspaper, The Arka Tech. He was also the sports director the campus TV news program.

Ramsey earned a Bachelor of Arts from Tech in May of 2007 with a major in journalism.

A Harrison, Ark. native, Ramsey is the proud son of Nancy Williams and the late Mark Ramsey.
