have
been
ranked
in
the
top
10
of
the
NCAA
South
Region
Rankings
in
the
final
rankings
before
this
Sunday’s
selection
into
the
regional
tournament.
The
Blossoms
improved
to
the
No.
7
slot,
while
the
Weevils
dropped
to
No.
9.
Both
teams
need
wins
in
the
GSC
tournament
to
improve
their
chances
of
being
one
of
the
top
eight
teams
to
advance
to
the
regional
tournament.
The
Weevils
helped
their
chances
with
a
76-63
win
over
Montevallo
on
Wednesday
in
the
GSC
Championship
Tournament,
while
the
Blossoms
open
play
tonight
at
5:30
p.m.
against
North
Alabama.
On
the
men’s
side,
Claflin
remains
No.
1,
followed,
in
order,
by
Florida
Southern,
Christian
Brothers,
Benedict,
Valdosta
State,
Delta
State,
North
Alabama
and
Arkansas
Tech.
Rollins
rounds
out
the
top
10.
On
the
women’s
side,
Delta
State
remains
No.
1,
followed,
in
order,
by
Fort
Valley
State,
Tampa,
Rollins,
West
Georgia
and
Ouachita
Baptist.
Clark-Atlanta
is
ranked
eighth,
followed
by
Arkansas
Tech
and
Valdosta
State.
