Meet our tutors

The Writing Center and Computer Lab is a free service to University of Arkansas students. Our staff consists of senior level English majors who can assist writers during all stages of the writing process: pre-writing, drafting, revising, and editing.

Walk-ins are always welcome. If you want a particular time slot or tutor, you should make an appointment. A typical conference may last thirty minutes, but you may want to schedule a follow-up appointment. It is also a good idea to bring specific information about your current or future writing assignment and any drafts you have already completed.

While we will not edit your work, we will provide feedback, suggestions, and support.

We help writers to.....

--Generate ideas      --become more confident writers

--Develop a thesis    --Learn how to proofread

--Pre-write

--Learn about grammar and clarity

--Revise early drafts

We work on a variety of projects with writers.....

*Compositions       *Summaries

*Critiques              *Reports

*Abstracts             *Research and Documentation

*Business Letters   *Outlines
