Agricultural Education
Agreements with the University
of Arkansas, Fayetteville (UAF) and Southern Arkansas
University (SAU), allow students who wish to become
vocational agriculture teachers to complete
approximately 60 hours at the University of Arkansas
at Monticello and transfer to UAF or SAU. students
must have a 2.50 cumulative grade point average to be
accepted into the teacher education program.
Specifics regarding these additional institutional
requirements are maintained in the Division of
Agriculture offices and will be available upon
request to interested students.
Veterinary Medicine
Students are provided course
work and advising to meet the entrance requirements
of the veterinary school of their choice and may
simultaneously complete the requirements for a
Bachelor of Science degree in agriculture or biology.
Other Programs
Those desiring an agriculture
degree program not offered at the University of
Arkansas at Monticello are provided course work and
advising designed to facilitate transfer to another
institution after one to two years at the University
of Arkansas at Monticello.
